If you have to pick between two of the most amazing cities in the world, which one would it be?
Okay! Both, Dubai and NYC are a hub of economy and culture and have so much to offer. One certainly can’t say no to either one of these cities. If it were up to me, I would stay all summer in NYC and would spend my cosy winters in Dubai by sipping my favorite drink in Palm Beach, but we don’t always get what we want. *sigh*
Let’s focus on the pros and cons of both the cities to see which one would win the maximum votes.
1. Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities in the world!
Yes, there is certainly no doubt about it! Just a glimpse of Dubai will make you believe in it. While NYC might give you a taste of something “old” at a few places, Dubai is still fresh. It is a city that will never let you get bored and your life in Dubai will be nothing less than an adventure.
2. The Diversity
Both NYC as well as Dubai features a spread of diversity. They are built by immigrants and both the cities have certainly blended various cultures flawlessly. What makes Dubai unique is that it has hosted cultures from various parts of the world without losing its authenticity. The city has a strong Arab feel which is certainly a major USP.
3. The Magic!
Oh yes! Dubai has magic. It looks like as if the city has come out of a fairytale. While NYC is more about skyscrapers and symmetry, Dubai is all about imagination. Every structure in the city has a purpose. It is built in the middle of a desert and emerges high, making its visitors feel as if they have just landed in an enchanted place. NYC, on the other hand also features an amazing view with the Statue of Liberty elevating its beauty.
4. The city of opportunities
While both the cities host a significant amount of jobs, Dubai comes out as a clear winner. It has an unemployment rate of 0.4%, which is one of the lowest in the world, making NYC’s unemployment rate of 7.8% a staggering figure.
5. Larger than life
Dubai is called the BIG city for a reason. There is nothing you can’t do in Dubai as the city hosts some of the most exciting adventure sports, which is certainly not true about NYC. The closest you can be to the nature in NYC is the central park.
6. The Geography
Dubai will give you an opportunity to visit some of the finest cities in Europe and Asia in a matter of a few hours, and it is also considered as one the safest cities to reside as well. The crime rate in the city is next to zero. It hasn’t been affected by any natural disaster like earthquake, flood, tornado, etc. in the last 100 years. Now, you can’t enjoy your stay in any city without actually living, right?
